1959
Beginnings in the Stanford Research Park
Stanley Wells Good Jr. entered into one of the earliest long-term ground leases with Stanford University, establishing the family’s presence in the Stanford Research Park and laying the foundation for decades of tenancy with professional service firms.
1961
First Building Completed
The first of four office buildings was completed on the site, marking the beginning of continuous commercial use at 1400 Page Mill.
1985-1996
Stanford Hospital & Clinics Tenancy
Stanford Hospitals and Clinics became a long-term tenant, occupying the building for nearly two decades and reinforcing the property’s role as a stable, professional workplace within the Research Park.
2014
Redesign and Redevelopment
Under the direction of Jim C. Gaither Jr., a new vision for 1400 Page Mill took shape — one that brought together thoughtful design, sustainability and the surrounding landscape to create a high-performance workplace designed for both people and place.
2016
New Building Completed
Construction of the core and shell was completed, delivering a high-performance workplace designed for energy efficiency, natural light, and long-term operational performance. Tenant interior improvements further tailored the space for modern professional use.
2021
Advanced Air Quality Systems
In response to COVID-19, building systems were upgraded with hospital-grade ultraviolet air purification and enhanced HVAC performance, resulting in a dramatic improvement in indoor air quality and environmental control.
